I stand before you naked and abused -
Pins in my heart and my ego is bruised.
Always stabbing, burning, tearing, and I'm through.
I am enlightened, indeed I have awoken;
The day I come to life is the day the spell is broken.
I don't feel the pain, I am not insane, I am a voodoo doll.

So pierce me with your razor blades
And burn my flesh with sweet butane.
Then take the needle, slide it through,
Because the one who feels it will be you.

You slice my skin, but it's you who bleeds;
You gouge my eyes, yet I can still see.
Needles sewing, fire glowing, never knowing what you do to me
Is transferred back to whoever I choose
And after years of torture, can you guess who?
So stab me again, never se the end, I am a voodoo doll.

You tied me w noose out of rubber bands.
With needle and thread, you bound my hands.
And then you kicked out the chair and started choking.
I smile - it was you that set this thing in motion.

These bonds are easy enough to break
As they tear my skin, you're the one who feels the pain.
Flesh is ripping, heartbeat skipping, blood is dripping like the rain.
I take your knife and slit my own throat
For good measure and to watch your eyes bulge.
Now you understand, the doll can beat the man. I am a voodoo doll.
My girlfriend brought up an interesting question the other day:

If a voodoo doll comes to life, would it choose who gets its pain?

My answer is yes.
